Say Goodbye to Paper Referrals

Good news for members who need a referral – on April 1, 2007, Independence Blue Cross moved to an electronic format for all referrals. Paper referrals will no longer be accepted with HMO/POS claims for payment. All referrals must be submitted through NaviNet or our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system.
